Facebook is a powerful network that helps you connect with people all over the world. In this tutorial we will cover the steps to create your Facebook account.

Here are the basic steps to setting up a Facebook account.

1. Go to http://www.Facebook.com
2. You will see the welcome page for Facebook.
3. On the right hand side of the welcome page is the “sign-up” form. Fill in your details and click the “Sign Up” button.



4. Facebook will then display the image verification form. Write the text that is displayed in the box provided. This is to “prove” that you are a human. Click the “Signup” button again.



5. Keep an eye on your email inbox as Facebook will send you a confirmation email titled “Facebook Account Confirmation”. You need to click on the confirmation link provided in the email to confirm your details.
6. The next form displayed allows Facebook to access your email account to check if any of the people within your account are already on Facebook. Facebook cannot access every email account in the world so you may have to use the “File Importer” tool so you can upload your address book via a spreadsheet or CSV file.



7. Facebook provides many ways to help you locate existing friends and contacts including your school details!



8. In the next form to appear you can upload an existing picture of yourself or if you are adventurous and have a webcam Facebook can take a picture of you now for your profile!



9. The last page of the setup wizard yet again offers you a chance to locate your existing friends or you can skip that and click the “View and edit your profile” to edit your new Facebook profile.



10. That’s it! Don’t forget to click the confirmation link in the email Facebook
