Interesting take there Sheldon. with us in security you need to look at what they actually say.
when the police say there is an improvement in crime it is ‘reported crime’. you can’t have stats on that which goes unreported which most crime is. that is why there is a perception especially here in Christchurch that crime is out of control, but police & politicians point to the stats.
Police have just started a campaign here in Christchurch to make the Stats true to what is happening. They have being told that anyone breaching the alcohol ban here is to be arrested, not given a boot up the rear & have their alcohol tipped out anymore. Though that could backfire when police are needed as they will be tied up doing paper work.
